On June 16, 2026, thousands of fans gathered in Clarkston, Michigan, excited to see Machine Gun Kelly perform. My 13-year-old daughter was one of them.
She is a huge MGK fan and had been counting down the days for months. In fact, she chose to forgo having a birthday party and other gifts this year so we could purchase tickets and make this concert her special birthday experience.
As MGK took the stage and energized the crowd with an incredible performance, severe weather forced the concert to end early. While everyone understands that safety must come first, many fans left heartbroken after missing a significant portion of the show.
My daughter wasn’t the only one disappointed. Thousands of fans traveled, planned, and invested in this experience, only to have the night cut short through no fault of anyone involved.
We are respectfully asking Machine Gun Kelly, his management team, and the concert organizers to consider returning to Michigan—whether in Clarkston or another suitable venue in the Metro Detroit area—to complete the show or provide a special make-up event for the fans whose experience was cut short.
This petition is not about blame. Weather is unpredictable, and public safety must always come first.
