Bring low-cost flights to Al Hoceima

The Issue

Al Hoceima is one of Morocco’s most beautiful coastal regions, yet it remains difficult and expensive to reach. There are no low-cost international flights and no domestic low-cost routes from airlines such as Ryanair, while many other Moroccan regions do benefit from these affordable connections. As a result, travelers are forced to fly to other cities and endure long road journeys. This isolates the region, limits tourism, and restricts economic growth.

We ask for:
Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor to actively support and attract low-cost airlines to Al Hoceima, both internationally and domestically, to boost tourism and regional development.
Minister Abdessamad Kayouh to provide the necessary approvals, conditions, and incentives for airlines such as Ryanair, Transavia, and Air Arabia to operate to and from Al Hoceima—including domestic routes.
Governor Fouad Hajji to collaborate with ONDA and airline partners to improve airport infrastructure, ensure competitive fees, and enable frequent, affordable connections.
Why this matters:
Affordable access for the diaspora
Growth in tourism and regional development
Fewer long and costly detours via other airports
Stronger national connectivity
More opportunities for families, businesses, and the community
Al Hoceima deserves better connectivity.
Al Hoceima deserves affordable flights.
Al Hoceima deserves low-cost domestic and international routes.

We call on all three leaders to take action.
