Bring Lights to the Veterans Park Volleyball Court in Brentwood

Bring Lights to the Veterans Park Volleyball Court in Brentwood
The Issue
Playing volleyball with family and neighbors at Veterans Park has become a meaningful way for many in our community to connect, stay active, and build lasting bonds. For parents, it’s a chance to spend quality time with their children. For others, it’s a way to unwind after a busy day while engaging in a healthy, enjoyable activity.
Unfortunately, as daylight shortens during fall and winter, our ability to use the court becomes limited. The absence of lighting restricts play to only daylight hours, leaving this valuable community space underutilized for much of the year.
By installing lights at the Veterans Park volleyball court, we can:
• Extend play hours year-round so families, students, and working residents can enjoy the courts even in the evenings.
• Encourage safe and healthy recreation by providing a secure, well-lit environment.
• Strengthen community ties by making the park a welcoming hub for social connection and physical activity.
• Promote overall well-being through accessible opportunities for exercise, stress relief, and positive interaction.
A vibrant and active community is essential for a safe, thriving neighborhood. Lights at Veterans Park would make this shared space more inclusive and inviting, ensuring it benefits everyone throughout the year.
Let’s come together and request that the City of Brentwood invest in our community’s future by installing lights at the Veterans Park volleyball court. Please sign this petition to support a healthier, more connected, and active Brentwood.
