Bring Lemmy home

The Issue

This story started back in 2019 when Samantha Roberts stole and hid the newfoundland dog (Lemmy) from his owner, Greg Marentette. There are many details to this story, and CTV Windsor has reported on it many times. A quick search of their site will confirm this. The main idea here is that there was a custody battle for Lemmy and Greg Marentette proved Lemmy was his in a civil court case that was appealed once and an attempted second appeal was denied. In August of 2022, the court ordered Ms.Roberts to return the dog to Mr. Marentette immediately. The sheriff went to her residence to collect the dog and the dog was not there. She refused to tell the sheriff where she was hiding Lemmy. Five months later, the case is now tied up in criminal court because Roberts did not return the dog. Lemmy turns 7 years old in February and has been hidden for 4 of those years. Newfoundland dogs have a relatively short lifespan compared to some other dog breeds (7-10 years average) so there is a sense of urgency to have him returned to his rightful owner before it's too late. On top of that, Mr. Marentette has had to pay thousands of dollars in legal fees just to get his own dog back. Ms. Roberts has not paid any of the fees that she owes for losing this case. Please help us let the authorities know that this wait for Lemmy's return is not acceptable! We need them to step in and make things right! The court has ordered it, so it needs to be done now! Mr. Marentette has a go fund me with many of the details explained in the description. https://www.gofundme.com/f/bring-lemmy-home?qid=058121898fab7861328ab1d70af74065
