Hedgehogs. Adorable little creatures that can fit in the palm of your hand. Who wouldn't want this little guy as a pet? That's right... no one. Unfortunately in California hedgehogs are illegal to be held as pets. There is no rhyme or reason for this. They are considered to be illegal in the state of California because they are not listed on the list of acceptable pets in the state. I have always wanted a hedgehog and when my mom finally decided to consider it an option to adopt one, I was crushed to find out that they are not legal to have as pets. Since then I have been trying to find a way to acquire a hedgehog but there is no legal way to do so. Why is it legal to have marijuana but not hedgehogs?
