Glyptodons are beautiful creatures that roamed the Earth from 5.3 million years ago to 11.7 thousand years ago. Glyptodons are a distant relative of armadillos and had hard shells and tanky tails which may have been used for combat. 

If Glyptodons are not brought back from extinction, then there will be no Glyptodons. This is a catastrophe because Glyptodons are the peak of mammalian evolution. 

Now is the time to act because we are so close to being technologically advanced enough to bring them back from extinction. Some of the DNA for them isn't over a million years old yet, so a revival from extinction would be possible. Glyptodon DNA has also already been sequenced for other scientific studies, meaning it would be much easier than bringing back other species.
