The Issue

Hey guys!

It has come to my attention that Fairy Godmother Clothing Co. has been denied being a vendor at the Ohio Ren Faire again, two years in a row.

Not only is she size inclusive with NO fat tax, she is also AFFORDABLE. She produces unique jackets that are highly sought after.

When I first discovered The Fairy Godmother Clothing Co. years and years ago it was because of a music festival called Electric Forest. Some of my favorite points of her jackets is that she is size inclusive, affordable pricing, a small business, and NO fat tax! I had personally only ever been able to order her jackets online, so you could imagine my excitement last year when she vended at Ohio Ren faire! Not only was she vending but she won 2nd place in the 20th annual Renaissance Festivals awards for the category of Favorite Apparel Crafts for 2024 which is hosted by Renaissance Festival Music podcast. She is also nominated for the awards list again here in 2025!

I love these jackets, it is quite literally the only true jacket I own. I have followed her journey for many years, I believe she started in 2017, she has grown so much to the point where she has like 45k followers on instagram. I remember when people started to steal her design and she has had to learn the hard way at a young age that she needs to patent her design. She has had to fight tooth and nail to protect something she started and created! She is now thriving and able to create on a little bigger scale by having help from other seamstress to sew her jackets, which is pretty normal for an operating business.

If you have ever had the chance to go in her booth while she is vending, it is always the best of vibes! I have witnessed any time I stopped by her booth, her making conversations with anyone who wanted to talk, her helping people try on different jackets, and just making people feel like they are a part of the experience and ren faire magic! All the times I stopped by the booth she was nothing but positive and had a smile on her face.

You can imagine my disappointment when I discovered she was not invited back this year to ren faire. I reached out to her to ask why she was not coming back this year, she did not fully disclose why she would not be returning this year but she did mention that she would love to come back and be a part of Ohio’s ren faire!

So here I am, as a crazy fan of this woman’s work who I barely know, to scream and shout from the rooftops that I want to see her back at Ohio Ren faire. If you would also like to see her back and help support a small business woman, you can sign this petition to try and help bring her back

If you made it this far, thank you. Let’s help keep these magical jackets a part of our faire!
