Bring Elishava back to Calgary
The Issue
Elishava, or Ellie as we affectionately know her, was an integral part of our Calgary community. Her sudden move to Kelowna was not by choice but rather a decision that she was compelled to make, leaving behind a city that holds her heart and a network of friends and family that miss her dearly. Ellie is not just a friend; she is a beacon of hope and support for many in Calgary. Her relocation has left a void that is profoundly felt by everyone who knows her.
In Calgary, Ellie contributed significantly to local initiatives and was actively involved in community programs that supported youth development and environmental conservation. Her passion for making a positive impact on those around her was infectious. She volunteered regularly at local shelters and participated in street clean-up events. Her absence is a loss not only to her friends but to the entire community that benefitted from her warmth, dedication, and selfless nature.
The move to Kelowna was influenced by circumstances beyond her control. Sadly, she has found herself struggling to adapt and is longing to return to a place where she truly belongs. Kelowna's beautiful landscapes can’t replace the meaningful connections and the sense of belonging Ellie experiences in Calgary. Her opportunities to thrive and continue her admirable community work are plentiful here, where she has already established strong roots.
To address this, we urge all local leaders and community members to support efforts that will facilitate her return. Whether through housing support, job placement assistance, or community sponsorship, we can come together to bring Ellie home. By signing this petition, you endorse a positive change in her life and the lives she touches as well.
Help us reunite Ellie with her Calgary family, enable her to continue her dedicated work, and allow our city to benefit once again from her irreplaceable spirit. Sign this petition to bring Elishava back to where she belongs.
