Bring Culver’s to Oregon: It’s Time for ButterBurgers and Custard in the PNW!
Bring Culver’s to Oregon: It’s Time for ButterBurgers and Custard in the PNW!
The Issue
To the Leadership Team at Culver’s and Future Pacific Northwest Franchisees:
We, the undersigned residents, transplants, and food lovers of Oregon, are officially requesting that Culver’s expand its footprint into the Beaver State.
While Culver’s has successfully grown to over 1,000 locations across 26 states, the Pacific Northwest remains a massive blank space on your map. Currently, the closest locations to us require a massive trek across state lines into Idaho or Utah. We believe Oregon represents the perfect next step for Culver’s westward expansion, and here is why:
1. A High-Quality Market That Appreciates Real Ingredients
Oregonians take their food seriously. We love local dairies and high-quality, cooked-to-order meals. Culver’s commitment to using 100% fresh, never-frozen beef for its famous ButterBurgers® and real Wisconsin dairy for its Fresh Frozen Custard aligns perfectly with Oregon’s culinary standards. We aren't just looking for another fast-food joint; we are looking for the premium quality and consistency that Culver’s is legendary for.
2. The Midwest-to-Pacific Northwest Pipeline
Oregon—especially the Portland metro area, the Willamette Valley, and Central Oregon—is home to thousands of Midwestern transplants. We deeply miss the taste of home. The mere mention of Wisconsin Cheese Curds, a Mushroom & Swiss ButterBurger, or the Flavor of the Day sends a wave of nostalgia through a massive community of residents who would instantly become your most loyal, everyday customers.
3. A Massive Gap in the Competitive Landscape
While the West Coast has its regional burger chains, none offer the sheer variety and family-restaurant hospitality of Culver's. Oregonians deserve a place where they can get a perfectly seared burger, a real Wisconsin supper-club-inspired meal, pork tenderloin sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, and a scoop of premium frozen custard all in one drive-thru or family-friendly dining room.
4. Proven Success in Expanding Markets
Culver’s has proven that its signature Midwestern hospitality travels incredibly well, finding massive success in booming markets like Arizona, Florida, and Idaho. Oregon’s growing communities are eager for new dining options that prioritize community support, friendly service, and exceptional food quality.
Our Promise: If you build it, we will come. We promise long drive-thru lines, packed dining rooms, and a warm Oregon welcome.
We respect Culver's commitment to protecting its supply chain and ensuring absolute freshness. However, as supply lines push further west, we urge you to look at Oregon as your primary West Coast anchor.
