Coach Houston Daniel came to Montevallo High for the 2024-2025 school year & in his time he’s made a huge impact! He got to know our kids, loved them, advocated for them and taught them more than a lot of coaches have in the past! He helped lead our varsity basketball team to the Elite Eight, but Coach Daniel was way more than just a coach. He was a mentor, a teacher, a listening ear. These kids are Devastated after finding out that Coach Daniel had been let go. Montevallo High needs Coach Daniel. I remember the first thing I ever heard him and Coach Gaskin say… “WE ARE HERE TO LAY A FOUNDATION FOR MHS BASKETBALL” and they did just that! The parents, students, and Montevallo community want answers! We want Coach Daniel’s back! Please sign this petition so we can get Coach Daniel back to MHS where he belongs!
