A few years ago, vegans rejoiced that Aldi UK introduced vegan chocolate bars. There were 3 types in the box: dark, classic and blonde. Word soon spread that the blonde bar was the best vegan white chocolate ever, similar in taste to Caramac and soon vegans (and non-vegans they were THAT good) everywhere were buying them in bulk. However this meant lots of shops were left with the dark and classic ones, so stocks weren’t replenished as quickly as consumers liked until the classic and darks sold too. Social media vegan groups were soon reporting on where they were available, or not….it was liking spotting the legendary Loch Ness monster in blonde choc form (but in Aldis across the U.K.). Vegan life was good then, disaster! In October 2024 Aldi announced that it was discontinuing the vegan blonde bars. Vegans (over 3 million of them in the U.K.) were upset, but maybe, just maybe, Aldi would see sense and just bring back the vegan blonde bars without the other 2 types in the box. We’re now in February 2025. They didn’t even make a brief reappearance for Veganary. So here’s the ask….ALDI BRING BACK THE VEGAN BLONDE BARS for the sake of the nation, on their own (no need for the dark or classic ). And while you’re at it, leave the 0.0001% milk out of the Belmont dark chocolate digestives as well please!
