Bring back the stick and toy library on the beach

Bring back the stick and toy library on the beach
The issue
Every morning long-term residents are walking the Long Bay Regional Park beach. Most turn up early with a ball and their dog. Without fail, every morning, there are also regular walkers picking up the trash, toys, and clothes left behind. Most of these people sort the trash from the treasures and for a long while now, we have been dropping them at a couple of signboards and boxes at one of the entrances to the beach. This week, the council removed these iconic little signs and boxes. They don't meet council-regulated marketing. This is bureaucracy gone nuts. We understand that the council wishes everyone would take their trash home with them, but this simply doesn't happen. The bags of bottles, tins, nappies, wet wipes, lolly wrappers, plastic toys, water goggles, and clothes that are left behind by park visitors every day are evidence of this. Therefore, when locals try to help keep public spaces tidy, we should be making it easier, not harder.
Please help us petition the regional council to install rubbish bins at Long Bay Park, and to put our "stick and toy library" back.
