The Issue
From 1997 to 2009, the Sacramento Monarchs represented the City of Sacramento in the WNBA. In 2005, Sacramento won the WNBA Championship, solidifying the team in WNBA history. But unfortunately, the team was dissolved in 2009.
Sacramento is a great city, with a fantastic sports fan base.
And the Sacramento Monarchs were more than just a WNBA team; they were a source of pride and inspiration for our community.
It's time to once again see the Monarchs rule the court, and to continue their tradition of excellence.
