Bring back the Phoenix and USQ name and identity

The issue

The University of Southern Queensland drastically changed the logo and adopted a new acronym, ‘UniSQ’. This has removed the existing identity of the University which many students felt they aligned. The phoenix connected with the large proportion of mature-age students. The change has forced a loss of identity for the university and its students as the logo and acronym are now very generic and very similar to that of UniSA. I Belive this change does not increase awareness due to this lack of identity. The existing acronym of USQ and the phoenix logo has enabled a large number of online students to feel part of a community all feeling that anything was possible and along with the motto "per studia mens nova" (Through study the mind is renewed) that is closely linked with the phoenix icon. Please bring back the phoenix and USQ identity that many students feel a connection and have formed a community with.
