Bring Back the old Pool system

Bring Back the old Pool system
The Issue
The administration has replaced the traditional registration system with a randomized "lottery" system. Now, instead of rewarding the most eager and vigilant candidates, passing the online tests only buys you a lottery ticket. Your future is no longer in your hands—it is left entirely to chance.
Why We Are Petitioning:
We, the community of applicants, believe this new randomized selection system is profoundly unfair. We are calling for an immediate review and change to this process for the following reasons:
1. It Punishes Dedication and Rewards Pure Luck
In the past, securing a spot required vigilance, readiness, and eagerness. Now, a highly motivated candidate who has spent months learning the basics of coding and preparing mentally for the Piscine has the exact same chance of being selected as someone who applied on a whim and has no real intention of finishing the program. This reduces a life-changing educational opportunity to a game of roulette.
2. Deserving Talent is Left Behind
Morocco is full of brilliant, hardworking individuals who desperately need the opportunity that 1337 provides. By relying on a random draw, the school is statistically guaranteed to reject highly capable, passionate, and deserving candidates simply because their name wasn’t randomly generated by an algorithm.
3. It Contradicts the 42 Network’s Core Values
1337 and the 42 Network pride themselves on being a pure meritocracy—no teachers, no tuition, just your own hard work. Introducing a gambling mechanic into the admissions process directly contradicts the ethos of "you get out what you put in." And discriminates against many which is against the school's core values. Luck is not a skill, and it should not be the ultimate filter for the programmers of tomorrow.
4. The Mental Toll on Applicants
Applicants spend hours passing the initial cognitive games and attending the check-in, building hope and excitement for their future. To be told that their effort doesn't matter and that they must simply "hope to get lucky" is deeply demoralizing and causes unnecessary anxiety that spans over 14 days.
Our Call to Action:
We understand that 1337 faces immense logistical challenges (the usage of bots by some applicants) and high server loads due to the massive number of applicants. However, sacrificing fairness for convenience is not the answer.
We respectfully urge the 1337 administration to abolish the random lottery system. We ask that the school implement a fairer alternative, such as:
Reverting to the "first-come, first-served" system, which rewards the most eager and attentive candidates.
