Bring back the Mountain Dew Major Melon flavor
The Issue
In January 2021, Mountain Dew released a new flavor called Major Melon, and it quickly became my favorite drink. I loved the refreshing taste of watermelon that was unlike anything else on the market. Major Melon wasn't just a beverage; it was my go-to drink, especially because I didn't care for other Mountain Dew flavors. However, in January 2025, Mountain Dew decided to discontinue Major Melon, making space for newer flavors like Dragon Fruit.
When my mom let me try Dragon Fruit, I found it didn't live up to Major Melon's legacy. The new flavor was nowhere near as appealing to me, and I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this way. Many loyal customers cherished Major Melon for its unique and refreshing taste, and its absence has left a void that new flavors can't fill.
Mountain Dew has always been about offering bold and unique flavors, and Major Melon perfectly embodied that spirit. While introducing new flavors is exciting, it's equally important to retain those that consumers have embraced. Discontinuing a beloved product alienates loyal customers who have supported your brand.
I ask Mountain Dew to consider bringing back Major Melon. Retain its original flavor, and perhaps even offer it as a limited edition or seasonal release. Doing so would not only show that Mountain Dew values their customers' preferences but also highlight their commitment to providing a diverse range of flavors.

But I also know that flavors like Dragon Fruit is not good for you . It comes with problems with your health . Health problems like weight gain , tooth decay and is low in nutritional value. And the average ratings fall between 7-8.5 out of 10. While Major Melon ratings was 8-9 out of 10 when it was out.
