Show your support and stand behind us in bringing back the Huntington Holiday Spectacular Tree Display by Looks Great Services Inc! (The tree on Wall Street)

Not only in the town of Huntington, but we as a greater long island community, we're extremely saddened to hear that the tree on Wall Street was not coming back this year. In such an uncertain and crazy time in society, this was such a sense of nostalgia, peace and happiness around the holidays. As a Huntington resident for nearly all my life I couldn't be happier that this was in my hometown. Residents and visitors alike loved coming and enjoying the spectacular display, and business thrived due to the influx of visitors to Downtown Huntington village during this time. The town has proposed a smaller scale tree lighting in heckscher park, far away from our town center. Today we live in a world where not many will walk over that distance (especially in December) to go visit our shops and restaurants, nor will they drive over. Businesses will suffer, residents and visitors will not have something to enjoy. Many children looking forward to "the big tree" are saddened by the lack there of. Many may not even visit downtown Huntington village this season.

We have been hearing tons of reasons as to why this event didn't happen on Wall Street, or at all for this matter. From the HVBID and TOH stating safety reasons, to lack of funding, to not enough time in planning- whatever the reason may be, we need to all work together along with Looks Great Services Inc. (owner of tree) to try and find a place and way for the tree to come back in the holiday season of 2023. Not only will this help our small businesses thrive in the holiday season, but give everyone visiting and living in Huntington a happy place, time and memory that will live on with them. 

As getting the spectacular tree back in 2022 is lost to the essence of time, and sadly we won't have the same experience, we write to the Town of Huntington and the Huntington Village Business Improvement District: Please find a way to bring back the Huntington Holiday Spectacular by Looks Great Services Inc for 2023!
