I'm an avid user of Gimkit, a game-based learning platform loved by countless students globally. Recent changes to the platform have included the renaming of the 'Classic Mode' to the 'Tycoon Mode'. This seemingly insignificant change has, however, caused great disappointment among us, the long-term users of Gimkit. The 'Classic Mode' was never just a name - it encompassed a feeling of familiarity and tradition that we all cherished. Everyone loved the clarity and simplicity that the mode offered. Now, with this unexpected renaming, that bond feels shaken.

While changes are a part of the evolution of any platform, they should ideally reinforce user experience and not cause confusion or disappointment. The decision to change 'Classic Mode' to 'Tycoon Mode' lacked any evident purpose. No user we know had issues with the previous name; on the contrary, it was universally accepted and appreciated.

Our petition is therefore simple – bring back the 'Classic Mode' name. We wish for Gimkit to respect its original roots and the preferences of its loyal user base. We do not ask for much, simply that Gimkit return to its roots, preserving its original essence and ensuring a smooth gaming experience for all its users.
