Ever since the start of Covid-19, the 24/7 Starbucks located in Northern Neck on GMU Fairfax campus has significantly reduced its hours. Currently, its hours remain to be from 7:00 am-8:00 pm, despite the rest of campus having gone back to its regular/normal functions and hours. I believe it is vital that there be a place like Starbucks open 24/7 for a variety of reasons, such as caffeine in several healthy/natural forms such as coffee and tea for late-night studying (which is an unavoidable college trademark for most students), and access to some healthy foods all throughout the day and night that promote better brain function by providing essential nutrients (protein boxes, protein bars, sandwiches, oatmeal, etc.). As most may know, after 10:00 pm, the only food you can get on GMU Fairfax campus is burgers and pizza from the dining hall, or maybe wings and fries from 'The Spot' if you go before 12:00 am. I believe this to be unacceptable, many students enjoyed being able to have a place like Starbucks to go to so they could stay up and study, have a safe place to go to at night without having to walk all the way across campus to whichever dining hall is still open, and it would provide more opportunities for work for Students. Please consider signing this petition so we can get George Mason's attention and hopefully get our 24/7 Starbucks back.
