Bring back St. Abanoub St. Anthony HS Bible Study
The Issue
Attending the St. Abanoub St. Anthony HS Bible Study was a profoundly enriching experience for many in our community. It offered a unique opportunity for high school students to gather every week, dive deep into the teachings of the Bible, and explore their spirituality in a supportive and nurturing environment. For many, it was not just a class but a beacon of hope, imparting values of compassion, understanding, and faith.
Recently, these cherished sessions were discontinued, leaving a significant void in the lives of those who relied on this spiritual engagement for guidance and growth. These Bible study sessions were crucial in fostering a sense of community, continuity, and connection among students. The discussions and lessons learned during these sessions have been instrumental in shaping the moral and ethical perspectives of many young minds, helping them navigate the complexities of modern life.
Reinstating these Bible studies would not only rejuvenate the spiritual life of our young parishioners but also reinforce family bonds, as parents saw their children grow in their faith and character. We understand there may have been logistical issues that led to the discontinuation of the Bible study sessions. However, we believe there are viable solutions that can be explored. These could include involving more volunteers to assist, using a flexible scheduling system to accommodate more students, or even hosting virtual sessions in addition to in-person studies. By leveraging these solutions, we can work together to remove the barriers currently in place.
Our community and its young members deserve the opportunity to continue this significant journey of faith and self-discovery. We, therefore, earnestly request the leaders of St. Abanoub St. Anthony to consider reinstating the high school Bible study sessions.
