A lot of students travel far to come to Pendleton College, some even 2 hours on a bus from places like Sale or Broughton, possibly even longer including traffic. This has already been proven a struggle for lateness, yet adding an extra day onto the college week is impractical for these students that must travel this far for this long 4 days a week already, and they may be travelling all that time for one lesson. 

Due to students in year 12 being 16 and 17, a lot of people have jobs. Even though this may not apply to every student, majority of students do have jobs and work when they are not in college, therefore taking this away from students feels unfair as Salford is one of the most deprived areas in England and many of our students are working not only to support themselves but their families as well.
