Bring Back North America East Servers for Fortnite Competitive

Bring Back North America East Servers for Fortnite Competitive
The Issue
East Coast Fortnite players deserve fair competition again — Epic Games, please restore the North America East (NAE) servers for tournaments and ranked play.
To Epic Games and the Fortnite Competitive Team,
We, the Fortnite community, are asking for the return of the North America East (NAE) servers for competitive and tournament play.
Since the change to North America Central (NAC) servers, thousands of players on the East Coast have been forced to compete with significantly higher ping, often ranging from 60–100 ms or more. This has created an unfair disadvantage in a game where every millisecond matters — especially in competitive events that determine rankings, qualifications, and even careers.
Many East Coast players, including pros, semi-pros, and dedicated grinders, have become discouraged from competing due to the difference in responsiveness, build timing, and input delay caused by this change. Some have even stepped away from tournaments entirely.
This isn’t just about lag — it’s about competitive integrity and opportunity.
Fortnite’s strength has always been its global, inclusive community. The North America East region once hosted some of the most vibrant competitive scenes in the world. Removing that server region has limited participation, reduced excitement, and impacted the game’s ecosystem as a whole.
We believe the solution is simple and fair:
Reinstate the North America East (NAE) servers for competitive and tournament modes, even if it means keeping North America Central active for casual matchmaking.
This would restore balance, bring back thousands of passionate players, and strengthen Fortnite’s competitive future.
We love this game and want to see it continue to thrive — on a level playing field for everyone.
Signed,
Fortnite players, competitors, and fans from across North America.
