Bring Back Neighbours!

Bring Back Neighbours!
The Issue
NEIGHBOURS has been all over the media over the last few months, but not all for the best reasons. It was announced by Channel 5 earlier this year that they would no longer broadcast the Aussie soap meaning it has now left our screens.
It sure was one hell of a finale with heaps of surprises! We seen many stars return to Ramsay Street, including Kylie and Jason!
37 years ago, Aussie Reg Watson's idea for a daytime soap became a success. Almost four decades on, the future of Neighbours is in doubt, due to UK broadcaster, Channel 5 wanting to 'concentrate on UK drama'. Despite the soap bringing in over a million UK viewers every single day, Channel 5 has decided to end it broadcast of the Aussie show.
Neighbours is a daily part of many lives. It is part of their routine, an escape, a religion. It means so much more to many people than 'just being a soap'. We have all grown to love Pin Oak Court, Melbourne, which we all know as Ramsay Street, Erinsborough, (that is an anagram of Neighbours!)
Neighbours started careers for many actors over the years. Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Guy Pearce, Russell Crowe, Margot Robbie, Jesse Spencer, Alan Dale, Liam Hemsworth, Eliza Taylor, Caitlin Stasey, Natalie Imbruglia, Delta Goodrum and Holly Valance are just a few.
There have been guest appearances from Russell Brand, Courtney Act, Jake Shears, Hanson, Jess Glynne, Janet Street-Porter, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Dave Bautista, Lily Allen, Emma Bunton, Julian Clary, Shane Warne and Amanda Holden.
Many actors and crew have spent most of their careers on Neighbours. It has been their life, with their characters becoming household names!
I have watched Neighbours since I was 5. For 30 years I have never missed an episode. I am PROUD to be a Neighbours fan!
There should never have been any doubt about keeping Neighbours running. PLEASE help BRING BACK NEIGHBOURS. Sign the petition and share to your socials - and we can all become good friends!
