I’ve been eating at Nando’s for over 10 years and myself and many others have loved their original mayo. It was an essential part of our meals and sadly Nando’s have made the decision to stop making the original vegetarian mayonnaise and have replaced it with vegan mayonnaise so that their, “famous Nando’s mayonnaise is available to more customers”. However, the new vegan mayo is incomparable compared to the old one. It looks and tastes very different and some customers are now having to bring in their own mayo into the restaurant just to eat at Nando’s and some have stopped eating there altogether. The change in taste and texture of the new mayo isn’t surprising considering the key ingredient of mayo (eggs) has been removed. Nando’s also say this decision has been made to reduce their carbon footprint yet the main food they sell is chicken and they still use egg in the perinaise. This petition has been made in the hope that Nando’s bring back the original mayo and therefore give customers the option to choose which one they would prefer to suit everyone.
