Recently, a student adored substitute, Janelle Putnam was fired from her substitute job at Warren local schools. Because she took a picture of a dirty floor, that she asked students to pickup, and in the caption describes how some students can be slightly disconnected. Getting fired for a post that did NOT mention any student names, or even school names, is ridiculous. It was just a post that other teachers could all relate to, it wasn't posted with ill intent. Ms. Janelle wasn't just a substitute for most, she was a role model, helping hand, shoulder to cry on and an encouragement that students need to be better as people. Her love for the students is shown through more than just in the classroom. She was fired over something that could've been resolved by a conversation and a warning. She is a necessity to so many students, especially ones who already find it hard as it is to get up in the mornings and go to school. She is a role model to many and the students need her back.
