COVID-19 may have left the greater public consciousness, but that doesn't mean it has stopped circulating, infecting more and more people daily. Ongoing research shows that COVID infections, particularly repeated ones, can cause long-term disability, reduce overall quality of life, and lead to major health complications like heart disease, stroke, increased cancer risk, diabetes... the list goes on.

Disabled and chronically ill folks form a major part of the tabletop gaming community. They have increasingly been left out of big events like conventions where masking efforts have been all but abandoned. 

A great number of people in gaming depend on conventions for their livelihood. They need the peace of mind that mask & vaccine requirements provide in order to attend and feel comfortable taking the already considerable risk that large crowds bring.

Sign this petition to let the organizers of PAX Unplugged 2023 know that you support the reinstatement of mandatory masking and proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination in order to attend the event. These decisions will be made very soon and we want them to know before any announcements are made that this is an important factor, and that they will lose attendees and supporters if they decide to make this irresponsible choice.
