Bring back Hyper Roll, keep a fast, low-stress TFT mode for everyone

El problema

We the undersigned ask Riot Games to restore Hyper Roll as a playable Teamfight Tactics mode, either as a permanent queue or a recurring lab, and to commit to keeping a true short, low-stress option for casual and time-limited players.

Why we care

Hyper Roll was explicitly spun down by Riot in the 2025 modes roadmap (May 8, 2025). Players were told Hyper Roll would be removed as Riot focuses on new modes and revivals.
Riot gave reasons like low player counts for the mode, perceived higher stress than intended, and that Hyper Roll didn’t meet its original objective of being an easy on-ramp. Many players disagree and used Hyper Roll specifically because it was short and less time-consuming.
The decision appears in official patch/roadmap notes and Hyper Roll’s final updates were included in recent patches (Hyper Roll marked as being spun down in 14.8 / final patch cycle).
The mode had a passionate community, from guides and leaderboards to long threads of players asking Riot to keep it, showing clear demand for a short TFT experience.

What we’re asking Riot to do

Reinstate Hyper Roll as either: a permanent queue option, or
a regularly returning lab (e.g., one month per set / rotating weekends) so players can reliably access it.

Fix the reasons Riot cited rather than removing the mode entirely. If low play and stress were the concerns, then: add targeted improvements (matchmaking tweaks, clearer onboarding/tutorial for new players, UX changes to reduce perceived stress), and add incentives that don’t turn Hyper Roll into a grind or a duplicate of standard TFT.

Share the data and plan publicly. If Riot decides to retire a mode, the community deserves clear metrics and a timeline, and a chance to help test changes that address problems.

Keep short-form TFT alive. Many players (workers, students, parents) can only commit to 15–25 minute games, losing Hyper Roll removes a vital play option.

Why this benefits Riot

Keeping a short, lower-time-commitment mode grows the game’s accessibility and retention for players who can’t commit to long matches.
A rotating lab approach allows Riot to experiment without permanently removing player-favored modes.
Listening to and partnering with the community builds trust and reduces backlash when changes are made.

Call to action

If you want short, casual TFT games to remain an option — sign this petition and share it with friends, streamers, and TFT communities. We’ll deliver this petition to Riot Games and ask for a public response and roadmap for bringing Hyper Roll back in some form.
