Garden Party has been the staple student event for Lincoln University since the 1980s. A highlight across all alumni from their university days, Garden Party is the biggest event that the university holds, and arguably one of the best university held parties across the country. 

This year, Garden Party has been replaced by a Lincoln University only event, Lawn Party. This event aims to scale down Garden Party, for "reasons out of our control". This takes away the very essence of Garden Party, as it was a chance for us to show our peers across the country what a good time really is. We feel as a student body, we have been severely misrepresented, and our student experience drastically depreciated. 

This petition aims to display just how important Garden Party is to the student body. Furthermore, it aims to gain movement to address these "reasons out of our control", and work with the University and key stakeholders to bring back Garden Party 2023. 

With your signature and support, we can bring the University back to the table, and bring back a Garden Party we all know and love. With enough support, the University cannot ignore our voice.

Instead of being other university that succumbs to the continual banning of a good time, let's be the first to fight back.
