The Issue
Southern Indiana misses CiCi’s Pizza! For years, CiCi’s was a place where families, friends, and communities came together to enjoy affordable, endless pizza and memories. Since its closure, many of us have been left without an option that brings the same fun, value, and variety that CiCi’s offered.
• CiCi’s is a family-friendly, budget-friendly place.
• It provides a fun environment for kids, teens, and adults (trust me us adults love it)
• The pizza buffet was a community favorite, perfect for gatherings, parties, and quick casual dining.
• I believe there’s still strong demand for CiCi’s in Southern Indiana — I think would thrive if brought back.
Some history on CiCis Pizza :
CiCis pizza was founded by Joe Croce and Mike Cole (assuming they managed their last names together to make the famous “CiCis pizza” trademark name!) in Plano, Texas in 1985! The first spot was strictly a take out location, but a year later we got an All you can eat buffet in Garland, Texas! The buffet was only $2.99! Just two years later, 1987 Cicis pizza began to franchise! By 2001 Cicis had over 360 location's! (363 to be exact!) By 2004 they had 470 plus! One of these being in New Albany Indiana! Our beloved hometown Cicis Pizza opened up late 2004, mid 2005! By 2010 CiCis had at 600+ locations! In 2015 Cicis pizza rebranded to just “CiCis”.
In 2020 we all know what happened, the dreaded Covid-19; causing closures and bankruptcy. CiCis had about 318 stores left across 26 states.
As late 2025 there are 274 locations left across the US.
The three closest locations are:
•Florence Kentucky, Located at : 4989 Houston Rd, Florence, KY 41042 ( 91 Miles )
• Evansville Indiana, Located at : 101B N Green River Rd, Evansville, IN 47715 ( 117 Miles )
• Bowling Green Kentucky, Located at 760 Campbell Ln Suite G-5, Bowling Green, KY 42104 ( 122miles )
