This petition is to try and bring attention to the need for the 164 and 64 Arriva buses to go back down Field Lane in Thorpe Willoughby as they once used to. Thorpe Willoughby has grown in size over recent years especially with the new estate now at the bottom of Field Lane and the need for the buses to go down Field Lane has vastly increased. 

There is a purpose built turn around point for these buses towards the end of Field Lane and bus stops already in place along that route.

Many parents with young children, the elderly and those less able/with disabilities struggle to get all the way to the nearest bus stops near The Fox pub and the return of this bus route would really benefit them. It is a 20 minute walk for those in the new estate if you can walk at a reasonable pace, for those less able it may be a lot longer or not possible at all. 

It would also benefit the residents of Thorpe Willoughby and those visiting to add a couple of later buses so that those who work in Selby or visiting can get back later and gain access to increased employment opportunities.

So we ask the local community, Arriva and the local council to seriously look into this issue and take action to bring back bus services for all in Thorpe Willoughby!
