On March 18, 2026, Josh D’Amaro officially began his tenure as the CEO of The Walt Disney Company. D’Amaro is widely known for his “guest-first” charisma and his deep respect for the history and magic of the brands he leads. This leadership change presents a unique opportunity for us to make our voices heard.
For years, we have advocated for the return of 20th Century Fox to its rightful home at Fox Corporation. While Disney has done much to integrate these stories into their ecosystem, the removal of the iconic "Fox" name and the dissolution of its 90-year independent history has left a void in the film industry and it's time we get him to restore the brand and still sign a deal with Fox to keep it's library on Disney+ and Hulu, along with selling a stake in Hulu, alongside Fox Corporation.
Why this update matters now is now under D'Amaro, Disney is navigating radical changes, including potentially spinning off or selling certain assets like linear TV networks. Divesting 20th Century Studios(along with Searchlight Pictures,Hulu,FX Networks, the Saban/Fox Kids library,20th Television,20th TVA,and Nat Geo),reviving Touchstone Pictures/Television,ABC Studios/Signature, and RKO Radio Pictures, and bringing them back to Fox Corporation(along with keeping it's library on Disney+,along with now fully having the rights to Deadpool,Fantastic Four, and X-Men in the MCU and The Simpsons in Universal Studios) would allow Disney to focus on its core "One Disney" pillars while restoring a legendary Hollywood brand to its original identity and a great way to honor film history since D’Amaro often speaks about the importance of creativity and human connection. There is no better way to honor that legacy than by allowing 20th Century Fox to stand independently once again.
