Ever since the College Board removed AP Computer Science AB from the course list of Advanced Placement classes in 2009, young students worldwide have been forced to take dual credit courses if they want to continue computer science after AP Computer Science A, which is just an introductory class in Java. 

Since 2009, Computer Science has risen to become one of the most popular majors, and is projected to grow 21% by 2031. Educating the youth that hope to pursue a career in computer science is a great way to foster interest and growth in that career group. 

Not every student has access to dual credit, and students also may not have access to a community college to get credit either. Advanced Placement courses make college-level learning and higher education easier. 

AP Computer Science A is simply a one semester class in Java, but AP Computer Science AB was a year-long class in Java. How can we let computer science blossom as a major and career if we can't help youth learn? 
It would be like if AP Calculus BC never existed, and AB was the only calculus offered. Obviously, two semesters of Java would be harder for high schoolers, but it is doable.
