Bring Accountability & Integrity Back To The Port Hope Bylaw Department

The Issue

Citizens and businesses across Port Hope are starting to come together and are quickly realizing that our local bylaws office desperately needs change.

The two prominent individuals responsible for the current disgrace that is our bylaw department are Director Jason Williams and Bylaw Officer Pam Hohner. These two operate without accountability and have proven they do not work for the taxpayers but for themselves. Wasting vast resources to pursue personal agendas whilst ignoring the issues they deem not worthy of their time. Even the police have more accountability than what these employees operate with. Furthermore, they count on the fact that the citizens they interact with don't fully understand nor know the bylaws allowing them the broad ability to make rules up as they go

It's time for change. Without it businesses and citizens will continue to leave due to the sheer difficulty and tactics used by this office.  This change needs to start with their removal and an urgent overhaul of how bylaw services are provided.

Please feel free to share your interactions and join us in calling on the council to bring back accountability and integrity to this vital service to our community!
