Why this petition matters

Started by Abhinaba Dutta

I am Abhinaba Dutta, a diehard lover of dogs. An idea came to my mind that with the advent of DOGE memes on the internet, we have got a great opportunity to raise awareness amongst people for adopting stray dogs. Now let's talk about the 4 letter word "DOGE". Well, "DOGE" is just the humours spelling fro "dog". The "doge" meme is a picture of a female Shiba Inu which overnight became an internet sensation after its owner took some pictures of it and uploaded them on the internet. Since then, the "doge" meme has garnered so much popularity that crypto-currencies have been made with the names like "DOGE COIN". This could be a great opportunity for us to aid all the malnourished and underfed dogs that are lying and dying on the streets. Some people don't like to adopt dogs as they think that dogs are violent animals, which is not true. Dogs can be very loyal and faithful just like a family member. Rather, in most cases, dogs are more loyal than a human being. Currently India has more than 30 million stray dogs. Many of them are dying being unfed. But this situation became even worse during the times of Lockdown all over India due to Covid-19. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) levied a transient suspension on imports of dogs from "high-risk" countries like India over concern related to rabies. As a result, dog import from India to the US was stopped. So, I personally think, if WhatsApp creates a doge emoji (an emoji of a Shiba Inu) then my campaign will be successful, since many people will love that emoji and my hypothesis is that many people would definitely develop the interest to adopt dogs too.
