To the Members of the Trumann School Board,
We, the undersigned students, parents, alumni, and community members of Trumann, Arkansas, are writing to formally request the establishment of an annual Basketball Homecoming week and celebration at Trumann High School. While our traditional football homecoming is a beloved event that brings our town together, our basketball athletes, cheer squads, and winter student body deserve the same opportunity to showcase their Wildcat pride, school spirit, and dedication. 
Basketball is a cornerstone of our community's winter season, drawing passionate crowds to the Trumann High School Gym. Introducing a winter homecoming would give the student body a powerful morale boost during the long winter months, encourage higher attendance at games, and provide a platform to honor our senior basketball players, managers, and spirit teams. It would also allow students who may not participate in fall activities to experience the pride of a homecoming court, spirit days, and pep rallies. 
We respectfully ask that the School Board approve the addition of a Basketball Homecoming to the official school calendar starting this season. Thank you for your continued dedication to the students and community of Trumann. Let’s keep moving Trumann forward!
