The Issue

Mission Statement: We strive to raise awareness by providing resources and selling products to the public in order to spread the word about the importance and lack of awareness of childhood/pediatric cancer

Our organization, Bright as Gold Futures, is a non-profit committed to fighting childhood cancer through awareness and funding. We have partnered with Bonfire to sell custom-designed shirts, with 99% of the profits going directly to the Children's Cancer Research Fund. While the shirts are priced moderately at $18, we ensure that almost every dollar spent supports our cause (with Bonfire taking the other 1% for profit)

When we reached out to the WV admin to start a new club, they refused.  But we stand by our mission. By forming a club, we will be able to gain the support of like-minded students who are eager to contribute to the children fighting cancer. The members of the club will help us to design new collections, amplify our social media presence, and organize community events throughout the year. Through these activities, we aim to inspire and involve more people in the battle against childhood cancer.

Currently, Waubonsie Valley High School has 50+ clubs, yet there is a noticeable gap when it comes to clubs focused on specific causes like pediatric cancer research. By establishing Bright as Gold Futures as an official club, we will fill this gap, giving students like us passionate about this cause a dedicated space to help and make a difference.

By signing this petition, you will not only support the creation of a club at Waubonsie but also contribute to a larger movement dedicated to finding a cure for pediatric cancer. Join us in making an impact today. Sign the petition and help us make Bright as Gold Futures a reality at our school.

We highly appreciated your support in helping make a difference.
