American citizens have rights based on natural law, The Constitution of the United States, and particularly the Bill of Rights. All of those laws include the natural right to defend oneself. Specifically, the Bill of Rights guarantees the right of the people to keep and bear firearms.

As a bank, you have a responsibility to act in an ethical and lawful manner. Telling people that they cannot use their own money to buy a lawful product in a lawful way is highly unethical.

There are plenty of other products that you could find a reason for not honoring your legal obligations in regard to. Will you not honor alcohol sales because some people are alcoholics and drunk drivers? Will you not honor opioid medicine sales because opioids are responsible for for thousands of deaths per year? Will you not honor pornography sales because pornography objectifies women and is often used by rapists? Will you refuse to honor abortion clinic sales because half the country thinks abortion is murder?

It is time to do what's right. What's right is not making political grandstanding and virtue signaling a business practice which tramples of the rights of all Americans. You are not law makers, and have no business trying to control the lives of all Americans based on your political views. American's bank accounts are THEIR money, not yours.

We urge you to ignore calls for following Citigroup in not honoring certain legal firearms sales.
