Making hedgehogs legal in Georgia

The Issue

Hedgehogs are only illegal in seven different states including Georgia, California, Hawaii, Alabama ,Vermont ,Maine , and Pennsylvania. I don't agree that hedgehogs should be illegal in these seven states. One reason why hedgehogs are illegal in Georgia is because if one was released it would affect the ecosystem. But because hedgehogs have to live in temperatures that are between 72 and 80 degrees they would die from the cold in Georgia's winters. Even if hedgehogs were to escape out of their cage there is a very little chance for that to happen. There is only one type of cage that a hedgehog could escape of out of, a barred cage a hedgehog could climb on but would not make it to the top because their bodies are not for climbing. A very close state to Georgia is Tennessee these two states have very similar temperatures and ecosystems but Tennessee allows hedgehogs so why can't Georgia allow them? There is no point in not allowing hedgehog in Georgia because a hedgehog could escape out of Tennessee and come to Georgia. If you would like to help persuade then please sign the petition. To raise awareness you can also buy a legalize hedgehogs in Georgia shirt for 20$. Or a legalize hedgehogs in Georgia sticker for 3$. If you would like one of these items then please put your email address in the comments.
