Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne tropical disease caused by the dengue virus. If not treated immediately, it can cause death. For the past few months, a sudden increase of dengue cases has been reported in barangay Alasas due to the humid conditions which brought the quick reproduction of mosquitoes. Our group decided to make a request to the government for a mosquito fogging treatment in our barangay. We plan on fogging the usual spaces where mosquitoes breed such as sewages, canals, and other places that are wet and dark, for us to lessen and prevent the spreading of dengue. 

In order for the project to be accepted by the government, we will need the support of the citizens. Our project will have a petition at Change.org, a website which holds the information for this project and a blog to inform others. We will also have an infographic and a video on how to avoid dengue to attract more followers. Of course, the scope would be our citizens since it is our barangay that is needed to be fogged. 

We’ll have a week to prepare for the things needed and from now on, we will start the project for us to be ready as soon as possible. The reason why we ask the government to help us in this project is for them to help us get the tools and materials we need such as the fogging machine and the larvicides. Our group will also have to hire a professional for them to do the job and we assure that we will pay them. We will also use free social media platforms such as Facebook, Change.org, and Wix.
