Drop the charges against Sunday's family
On Thursday, September 27, 2012, the family and friends of victim Sunday Blombergh finally got the verdict they were hoping for in the final trial of their two and a half year nightmare: Ruby Evans was convicted of Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Malice, and Battery, and sentenced to Life in Prison, plus ten years.
At the close of this hellacious nightmare, the family then went to the place Sunday's body was found, deep in the woods on the county line, to remember Sunday, and to let her know that she could finally rest in peace. A remembrance tree had been planted there in her name a couple years previous. Upon arrival, they discovered the tree was choking under the weight of the overgrowth around it. They were simply attempting to free the young tree so that it could thrive; Never once did they think they were doing anything wrong.
Sadly, property owner Brent Hyde discovered their presence, and called the police. Though the deputies who arrived tried to talk Mr. Hyde out of pressing charges, he refused. Days have passed, wherein he has been asked to come to his senses several times, and he still refuses to drop the charges.
Had this happened on my property, I would have cleared them a path to the site, provided chairs and refreshments, and given them permission to visit any time they wished. Instead, Mr. Hyde wishes to extend their nightmare, and force them to return to the area in a month to face Trespassing charges, pay the associated fines, and carry this mark on their records forever.
Please sign my petition, in the hopes that the wishes of a multitude of people will convince Mr. Hyde to do the right thing. This family has been through enough, plain and simple.

I just signed the following petition addressed to: Brent Hyde.
Mr. Hyde, Please drop the charges against Sunday's family
This family has endured enough pain. Please do not extend the horrendous nightmare they have been forced to live for two and a half years by causing them more. They meant no disrespect; they meant no harm. They only meant to honor the memory of Sunday Blombergh, and to let her know that she could now rest in peace.
Please, Mr. Hyde, have a heart.
