I am passionate about animal welfare but have discovered that there are 100's of unregistered, unlicensed back street breeders and rescues who are not being held accountable for the distress caused to animals in their hands. Animal rescues are over flowing with unwanted dogs and cats due to no over seeing body taking responsibility and monitoring this. Laws need to be in place to stop this trade by making it a criminal offence to breed dogs and cats without being registered with a licence.
