Break the Monopoly on Cloud Hosting

Break the Monopoly on Cloud Hosting
The Issue
I'm a lifelong information technology student who's been throttled by the monopolized cloud hosting industry. Managing my digital portfolio has become an overwhelming challenge, partly due to the subscription-based or advertising-infested technology forced upon us, the learning body. Tools and material obligatory to our learning and development have been superseded by experimental machine learning, including but not limited to, AI bots, causing unpredictable harm to end users' experiences.
As per the IBM's Computing Statistics (2020), over 85% of businesses around the world now rely heavily on cloud-hosted applications. Considering this dependency, it's disconcerting to acknowledge the power residing in the hands of a select few tech giants, cutting off potential competition and creating a hostile environment for innovation.
The pledge today is not only for my personal struggle. It is for every student, budding tech enthusiast or start-up who finds themselves suffocating under this monopolized market. We demand legislation that sets in motion a fair marketplace to drive innovation and equal opportunities for all.
Let our voices be heard for the next generation of innovators. Signing this petition will amplify our call for justice and inspire a change towards a more diverse and inclusive digital world.
