We need to act now, otherwise the Amazon will be extinct, along with this thousands of species that reside there. The Brazilian government needs to acknowledge the severity of the situation, and it's imperative that they act now. The fires need to be put out before they spread and destroy the entire Amazon. There are also people who live near these fires, and human lives are at stake. The Brazilian government, US government, and the United Nations need to unite to acknowledge this disaster and exterminate it immediately. Billionaires poured money into repairing the Notre Dame, so the same must be done to preserve the Amazon.
