The choice of wearing a blue or white cap and gown to graduation has been a tradition at BHS for years. The students have been given the choice of blue or white for themselves. The colors are not assigned by birth gender, therefore not violating of any discrimination law. The choice of the cap and gown color should be left up to the student to decide. BHS school colors are blue and white. Students find pride in wearing the school colors generations have worn before them. It is the students right to freedom of expression. The ability to choose either white or blue (our school colors) allows us to express ourselves the way we want on our own graduation day. The choice should not be taken away from the students on such a big day in ending their highschool careers.
