I would like to have more CCTV put up in graveyards in order protect the graves of our loved ones from further damage or vandalism in any sort. 

Incase you aren’t already aware. People do vandalise, steal from, and destroy graves everywhere and due to lack of CCTV in graveyards, nothing is done about it. That means families have to suffer seeing this and not having any justice served by the council or the government in general as there’s lack of video evidence to identify and prosecute the people responsible in the correct manner. 

I myself have been a victim of this as a family members grave became a target and was vandalised in such a horrific way. The cross that stood over the grave had been removed with force and snapped. I know it was removed with force because the cross and certain ornaments that were placed there had been cemented in and were very sturdy. 

it’s a truly devastating experience and I think with the help of the council, we could get more CCTV placed in graveyards to help try and prevent such evil acts from happening again. Or if they do, it will help find the people responsible and bring them to justice the right way instead of people thinking the council/ government don’t care about the dead and deciding to take manners into their own hands.
