TELL THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE: NO MORE AID TO ISRAEL

Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz sent out a letter stating that it is “absolutely unacceptable for any presidential candidate to suggest zeroing out our foreign aid to Israel.” We need your help to tell the DNC that blindly funding Israel to commit crimes against the Palestinians is unacceptable.

Palestinians live under occupation, Apartheid, daily humiliations, while the United States is forcing them to endless negotiations that only benefit Israel. Palestinians have taken their cause to the United Nations and are walking in the footsteps of the civil rights movement by boarding segregated buses. Their fight is unequal. A Memorandum of Understanding pledges $30 billion to Israel over 10 years. Israel is a wealthy OECD nation that receives more in US foreign aid than all of Sub-Saharan Africa combined.

The DNC needs to take into account the changes that are taking place in North Africa and the Middle East, where calls for democracy, justice, and human rights are fundamentally changing the region. The narrative that Israel’s interests are the United States’ interests belongs to a bygone era.

In fact, it is absolutely acceptable for any presidential candidate to suggest zeroing out our foreign aid to Israel and restore America’s trust and standing in the Middle East and the Arab world.
