The Issue

The residents locally, would like to be heard by Bracknell Forest Council regarding the safety of our roads in Binfield. In particular Foxley Lane (Binfield) and St Marks Road (Binfield) We would like the following to be investigated before an serious incident happens;

1) Foxley Lane - to have double yellow lines along both sides of Foxley Lane when entering from St Marks Road. With currently cars parked along this section, there is a requirement to overtake these parked cars on a bend where oncoming traffic is not visible. Stopping parking here will allow also improved movement of traffic in rush hour periods when local Bracknell residents are using Foxley Lane as a cut through.

2) Foxley Lane - to have traffic lights or zebra crossing close to or in the facility to Morshead Drive, to allow crossing of young children and parents with safety to local school(s).

3) St Marks Road - to have traffic lights from Foxley Lane across Marks Road  (to Indian Restaurant opposite) This will ensure cars reduce their speed and allow children crossing to attend Kings Academy School or other Binfield Schools. Plus allowing safety or local residents walking in these areas, which has increased since lock down.

Our request is for Bracknell Forest Council to take action and make necessary updates to the safety of our roads in these areas.
