BPS promised the BCLA students and teachers that they were going to renovate the McCormack middle school into a 21st century learning environment. After two years they decided to stop working on the school and to merge us into the McCormack building with nothing new done to it. The school doesn't fit high school students and is on it's last legs. There is not enough space for each teacher to have their own room and not every student will have a locker.  We won't even have a library , gym , auditorium etc. for students to have fun and express themselves. Inside the building it is very dark and lifeless. Even with the lights on it looks like it is night time. We've shared our testimonies to the school committee but it wasn't enough for them to take action because we are still here fighting for what was promised. All we ask is that you help us by signing this petition so that we can get a 21st century learning environment that we deserve. In signing this petition and getting meeting the goal we can show the school committee that we're not alone and we get to stop letting them get away with manipulating and gaslighting us. Not only are we fighting for ourselves but for other schools who don't have enough resources and deserve a 21st century learning environment.
