Every week, I stand in solidarity with supporters of Palestinians, listening to heart-wrenching stories of their loved ones in Gaza. These families are forced to flee from bombings, struggling without access to basic necessities such as food and medical care. They describe their experience as being hunted down by Israel—a terrifying reality that is unfathomable to many. I refuse to be complicit in this suffering by allowing the cost of a plane ticket to support such atrocities.

United Airlines, a major airline serving millions of passengers each year, continues to operate routes to Tel Aviv, Israel, despite facing repeated accusations of human rights violations by the Israeli government. This signifies a prioritization of profits over people, a business model that is no longer acceptable in today’s world. Companies must be held accountable to ethical standards that put humanity ahead of monetary gains.

Numerous credible international organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have documented severe injustices perpetrated by the Israeli government. These include forced displacement, restricted access to vital resources, and indiscriminate violence against civilians. By maintaining flights to Tel Aviv, United Airlines tacitly supports these acts, exhibiting a blatant disregard for human rights.

As consumers, we wield significant power and influence over corporate decisions. Boycotting United Airlines sends a strong message that as long as they choose to operate in regions where basic human rights are continuously violated, they will lose their customer base. Boycotts have proven effective in encouraging corporations to make ethical decisions in the past, influencing change where it is most needed.

We urge United Airlines to reassess their operations and prioritize human rights by ceasing flights to Tel Aviv until significant positive changes are made in Israeli government policies. This action will demonstrate a commitment to global human rights and moral integrity.
