On March 21, 2022, Carmaker Renault decided to resume production at its Russian factories. A shameful response to the dilemma it put itself into when it took control of Russian carmaker Avtovaz (Lada) over the past 6 years.
One can wonder whether supplying Russian demand while the country's leadership commits war crimes in Ukraine will be less costly in the long run than permanently staining the Renault brand with innocent blood.
